Andorra Telecom and Pyrénées have agreed to organize the national Rubik’s Cube Championship, an event held for the first time in 2016 which forms part of the international schedule of the World Cube Association.
The competition includes different categories (the traditional 3x3x3, the pocket 2x2x2, the 4x4x4 and the pyramid), as well as more spectacular variations such as solving the cube blind or with one hand.
The first year of the tournament featured a total of 70 participants from different countries. The winner was Darío Roa, the Spanish champion and among the top ten in the world.
Andorra Telecom includes this partnership among its initiatives to support training activities in science and technology, with outstanding events designed for young people, such as the Micro First Lego League and the World Robot Olympiad .
