Andorra Telecom has begun 2017 with one of its most ambitious projects ever: the renewal of access to its FTTH (fibre to the home) network. This great technological leap forward will mean the complete overhaul of both the active access network, known as Optical Line Terminals (OLT), and the Optical Network Terminals (ONT) which our customers have installed in their homes.

The objective is three-fold: to increase network stability and reliability; increase redundancy and design it to better suit future service needs with greater band width, and raise speeds from 100 to 300 MB.

The commitment to fibre optic technology, which helped Andorra become the first country in the world with universal high-speed Internet access, has been intensified with this new project aimed at maintaining Andorra at the forefront on the international scene.

The ONT renewal process would not have been possible without the help and collaboration of our customers.
