The firm commitment of Andorra Telecom to innovation and the implementation of new technology in the Principality of Andorra is reflected in its active participation of the Smart Country project currently led by the government of Andorra.
The Actua Tech Foundation is one of the fundamental pieces of this initiative, which aims to promote a 'smart country' that improves people's day-to-day lives and contributes towards better sustainability through innovation.
The Foundation, of which Andorra Telecom is founder and trustee, has the objective of establishing a frame of reference in the deployment and promotion of high added-value technology projects that contribute towards the development of the Smart Country initiative within the context of Andorra's economic diversification.
ActuaTech is chaired by the National Secretary of Economic Diversification, representing the government. The governing board is formed by FEDA (Forces Elèctriques d’Andorra) and the University of Andorra (UDA)http://www.uda.ad/), as well as Andorra Telecom.
ActuaTech aims to take advantage of the fertile ground for developing specific projects in a wide range of areas, from tourism and mobility to telecommunications and energy, and also to promote Andorra as a living lab.
