Andorra Telecom, has been sponsoring Morabanc Andorra in their new stage in the ACB (Association of Basketball Clubs - ACB in its Catalan initials) league since the 2014-2015 season, as part of its policy to support sports.
Bàsquet Club Andorra, a basketball club founded in 1970, is one of the country's leading sports organisations and has consolidated its position in Europe's most competitive league.
Since its founding, the club has managed to defend itself well, first in Catalan basketball, and then in the Spanish league, achieving notable success. In the memorable 91-92 season, it was proclaimed champion of Spain's First B League, thus obtaining promotion to the ACB.
Bàsquet Club Festina Andorra stayed in this elite division for four seasons. Some of the highlights of those years include its participation in the King's Cup tournament, and its début in European competitions in the KORAC Cup. Unfortunately, it was relegated to the LEB league after that same 95-96 season, a division from which it had to withdraw due to non-sporting grounds.
The Club then found itself back in the third Catalan division, and begun its long, hard climb back to the elite. After four seasons in the EBA League, the team managed to climb up to the LEB Silver League for 2010-2011, and in just three short years attained promotion to the LEB Gold, the second division in Spanish basketball. This time the turnaround would be even quicker. In the 2012-2013 they just missed out on promotion, but the following season, thanks to its first-place standing, they made their long-awaited return to the ACB, the top-ranking Spanish league.
