Vallnord has become a familiar host for the greatest international Mountain Bike competitions. It has long been the desire of Andorra Telecom to have a presence at these events, providing connectivity to the organisation as its technology partner.
Over the last decade, the Vallnord Bike Park has hosted a total of four World Cup events in 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2016. The great challenge, though, came in 2015 when the International Cycling Union awarded Andorra with the Mountain Bike and Trial World Championships.
The large crowds flocking to all the events, the characteristics of the Massana track that can accommodate both downhill and cross-country disciplines, and the excellent overall organisation has led to the consolidation of Massana as a leading international racing venue. In 2016 Vallnord had the chance to host of the latest World Cup event, which crowned Julien Absalon and Catherine Prendel in the cross-country category and Aaron Gwin and Rachel Atherton in downhill.
Vallnord has also secured World Cup events in 2017 and 2018, as well as the upcoming World Master's championship.
