Arrangements can be made on the Andorra Telecom portal with an electronic certificate

This will allow access to the customer area, where users can check consumption and bills or change telephone and television plans
As a unified system for multiple platforms, the electronic certificate has more and more uses. This was explained by the General Secretary of the Andorran Government, Jordi Casadevall, the director of Information Technologies for FEDA, Daniel Fernández, and the spokesperson for Andorra Telecom, Carles Casadevall, who described how this tool is already used to sign in on company websites.

Customers accessing the customer area of the Andorra Telecom website will have a specific option to register using their digital certificate. Once they have signed in, users can do many things such as modifying their cellphone options (change plans, activate and deactivate roaming, purchase extra data, etc.) or change their television services in the case of existing Movistar+ customers.

In addition, they can use the electronic certificate to check their consumption and bills at any time. Carles Casadevall has stated that simplicity is prioritised at all times, to ensure the process is as convenient as possible for customers.

The General Secretary of the Andorran Government, Jordi Casadevall, explained that the electronic certificate is a tool that allows users to sign in to multiple platforms and to sign documents electronically with maximum security.

This has a great many advantages for citizens, as they no longer need different usernames and passwords for each platform, and because security guarantees ensure this system is just as valid as a handwritten signature.

In addition, it lets users complete certain processes involving the state agencies or other organizations at any time, through a safe and easy process that saves users time while also protecting the environment by reducing trips and paper consumption.

Although the electronic certificate has been in use for some time, its applications have been under development over the past few months. The Andorran Government will gradually expand the processes that can be completed using this system, and it will also collaborate with public and private entities to encourage its use by more and more organisations.

As Jordi Casadevall says, the Government’s tax service can be accessed online for things like filing personal income tax returns. Other formalities such as deposit accounts or habitation certificates can also be filled in online.

In the coming months, the business and citizen section of www.etramits.ad can also be accessed using this system, and the number of official processes that can be completed will continue to expand.

FEDA and Andorra Telecom have invested in this project, as well. On Thursday, they presented the different uses for electronic certificates on their websites.
Meanwhile, the director of Information Technologies at FEDA, Daniel Fernández, explained that electronic certificates let users access the FEDA website through association with their NRT accounts. In addition, it is planned that it will be possible to sign bills sent by FEDA using electronic certificates as a way of ensuring they have not been tampered with and ensuring they are not rejected. In the coming months, orders from suppliers will also be signed using this system.

All townships in Andorra have begun to incorporate electronic certificates. In Canillo, they are already required to complete all online official processes. In the private sector, more and more companies are using this system every day; Crèdit Andorra has already paved the way in this process.
In order to promote the use of the electronic certificate, as announced, the Andorran Government will offer them to all citizens free of charge in 2018, with a three-year validity period. As a result, Jordi Casadevall has encouraged all citizens to request them from the Andorran Government official processing service or from the townships, and to begin to familiarise themselves with their ever-expanding uses.
