We’re doubling the numbers of gigabytes included in our roaming deals over the summer
This is one of a range of measures aimed at improving the user experience during the holiday period
Andorra Telecom will offer considerably improved mobile deals during the months of July and August. The first step will be to double the amount of data included in deals that include roaming (‘M’ rate and above). This means that mobile phone users who have one of these deals can use it much more this summer.
It should also be noted that half of the data included in these rates can be used while roaming in Spain, France and Portugal (the XXL rate permits use throughout the European Union, Turkey and the United States) and so will allow users to stay connected worry-free over the holidays.
According to Carles Casadevall, spokesperson for Andorra Telecom, these initiatives represent a ‘significant improvement in the user experience during the summer’. This summer you can go away on holiday without worrying about sourcing WiFi’. Mr Casadevall has also encouraged users on lower rates to upgrade to a deal that includes inclusive: “We want this offer to encourage users to try out a plan that includes roaming, even if only for the holiday period, as it makes things easier when you’re outside Andorra”
On the other hand, a customer who uses all the data included in their deal can buy extra data for use within Andorra at a 50% discount during these two months. This means they can get another 200 mb of data for €1.05, and 1 gb for €4.70.
Finally, the pre-paid SIM starter ‘kits’ will be available for €15 rather than €30, lowering the cost barrier that a higher price represents. The aim is to encourage visitors to Andorra to purchase this product, as they will be able to buy ‘kits’ at this price both from the company’s sales offices and also from the Tourist Office in the Plaça de la Rotonda in Andorra la Vella.
