Widespread increase in data consumption in roaming

Our ‘Double Gigabytes’ promotion was very popular: internet usage on mobile devices soared
The ‘Double Gigabytes’ campaign, which included twice as much data in our deals with roaming, has been very popular among our users. In the first ten days of July, when the ‘Double Gigabytes’ promotion was launched, consumption grew by 70% from the 2,900 gb registered in 2018 to 4,900 gb in 2019.

Besides a more intensive use of the service, more and more customers are choosing to use roaming. In the first ten days of July last year, the average daily number of customers using services from abroad was 9,269 whereas this year it was 10,435, which represents an increase of 13 %.

Moreover, the number of clients taking out mobile contracts with roaming included is growing. The 27,038 clients who now have this service are over twice as many as those who had it this time last year, 13,460.

The spokesperson for Andorra Telecom, Carles Casadevall, is pleased with the take up and the high level of interest generated by the deals that include roaming. "This summer’s promotion is another step forward in this policy and has encouraged even more use of mobile devices while roaming".
