Discounts for the self-employed and for companies that have had to halt activity due to COVID-19
Andorra Telecom will apply a series of discounts aimed at supporting companies and the self-employed who have had to halt all or part of their activity due to the efforts to contain COVID-19. These actions form part of the package of exceptional measures approved by the government to cope with the impact of the health emergency on the productive fabric of the nation.
The self-employed and small companies that have closed their doors under the decree of exceptional measures will be exempt from the payment of monthly subscription fees for Internet access and landline services this March and for as long as the decree is in force. If the stoppage is only partial, the discounts will amount to 80% of the monthly subscription fees.
The largest companies which have stopped working as a result of the decree will also be excused from the payment of subscription fees for connectivity services, including: company landlines, voice channels for IP PBXs (SIP-T), virtual XVC PBXs, High-Capacity Business Internet, access modules to Internet and intranet FTTH nodes. 80% discounts are also offered for the same services when the stoppage has been partial.
Most businesses were closed by decree on 14 March. The reduction in the March invoice will be applied automatically to the proportional part of the subscription fees from this date and will be extended while the exceptional measures remain in force.
Andorra Telecom has calculated that the total amount of discounts for the self-employed and for companies will amount to over half a million euros per month and that it will benefit more than 5,300 customers.
These measures are in addition to making it easier for companies that need to either defer or split the payment of their telecommunications bills facilitating an interest-free period of up to 12 months. In these cases the request should be made in advance.
